Real Madrid Stadium Natural Grass Pitch Installation

SIS completed a new pitch installation at Real Madrid Stadium lifting turf from the training ground to transport in 21 lorries the 30-minute journey to the main stadium.

A team of eight worked in a sweltering 40°C heat to complete the job by the beginning of August 2008.

Chief Executive Officer George Mullan said: “This was one of the most complex jobs SIS has done. It was a real challenge because of the heat and the access to the stadium – but the team worked tirelessly to complete the pitch on time.”
