Real Madrid,Training Centre (Natural Turf)
SIS has recently completed further pitch renovation works for Real Madrid at their prestigious training centre. In 2010, SIS completed works to three pitches and in 2011 were asked to carry out further works to additional pitches. The pitch works included stripping a total of 11,000m2 of existing natural turf with our specialist ‘SISavator’ machine, adding over 2000 tonnes of new rootzone material to the pitches and grading and finishing with the installation of a 35mm thick natural turf. The natural turf selected and grown from France was transported in 31 refrigerated trucks.
In addition to the natural turf pitch works, SIS installed synthetic turf areas to the pitch perimeters and technical areas. This is to aid maintenance of the pitch surrounds and eliminate wear on highly trafficked areas. Synthetic pitch surrounds in the training centre’s stadium ‘Alfredo Di Stefano’ were also replaced as part of the works.
