The stadium hosts club football for AIK and also the country's national fixtures. The returf involved
8000m2 of specially grown turf to be harvested and transported in twenty refrigerated, articulated lorries from a turf farm in Germany. The whole project was completed in just 3 days. Pictured right: Rasunda Stadium pitch complete
SIS removed the existing worn turf surface using SIS’ specialist SISavator machine, rotovating the existing rootzone and re-grading the pitch levels.
