Farringdon Community Sports College, Sunderland (Synthetic Turf)
SIS has been awarded the contract to build a new full size synthetic 3G pitch on behalf of Sunderland City Council. The project consists of earthworks and landscaping, drainage, macadam engineered base, perimeter fencing, pitch floodlight system an. In addition, the construction of access pathways and the provision of storage area and equipment.
The synthetic surface is SIS Spine 60 which is a high quality polyethylene monofilament football turf system. The spine reinforcement running through the centre of the yarn provides strong pile recovery and excellent resilience. The project is funded by Farringdon Community Sports College, The Football Foundation, Standards Fund, Coalfield Regeneration Trust, Farringdon Detached Football Club, Ryhope CW Football Club, Humbledon and Plains Farm Football Club, and Sunderland City Council.
