Bay of Luanda, Angola (Natural Turf)

SIS is near to completion of Phase A for the Bay of Luanda project, the project involves the redevelopment of infrastructure along the Luanda Bay Marginal and Ilha de Luanda.

The main objective of the proposed Bay of Luanda project is to have a significantly positive impact on the central business district of Luanda by providing accessible open spaces, improving the environment and upgrading private and public trans-port infrastructure, while developing world-class commercial and residential accommodation.

SIS is turning the newly reclaimed land into a new area where residents of Luanda can stroll through gardens, and provide a recreational area for the city. Phase which involved planting many thousands of plants, seeding new grass areas and providing automatic irrigation will finish at the end of July.

SIS will commence Phase B will double the size of Phase A later this year and the project will take 8 months to complete. SIS will also separate contracts to maintain all the new gardens, grass areas and plants for the next three years.
