SIS ACHIEVES KEY QUALITY INDICATOR

SIS Achieves Quality Rating

SIS (Support in Sport) Ltd, the suppliers and installers of natural and synthetic pitches, have achieved ISO 9001: 2001 accreditation, indicating the high quality and consistency of its management systems. It is one of the standards that more and more public and private sector organisations seek when awarding tenders and contracts, and can be a pre-requisite for preferred supplier status.

The ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard assesses businesses in key operational disciplines. These include customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, documented processes, integrated systems, continuous improvement, fact-based decision making and mutually beneficial customer relationships.

“We are delighted to have achieved this indication of management excellence,” says SIS Sales and Marketing Director, Geraldine Smith. “It confirms our ability to work within a structured and client-friendly environment, and ensures customers’ peace of mind in respect of our procedures and quality control.

“Our future development strategy includes the achievement of ISO 14001 (concerned with environmental management) and ISO 18001 (occupational health and safety). This shows our commitment to quality and our positive growth aspirations.”

SIS design, install and maintain both natural and artificial pitches for private and public sector sport at all levels of performance. The company also has its own synthetic surface manufacturing plant in Cumbria, which has won a Health & Safety Gold Award from Rand H&S, a consultancy providing health and safety compliance services to UK businesses.
