SIS (IRL) LTD IN THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL FOR THE 5TH TIME
SIS once again provides the pitch at the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid, for the final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. This is the 5th time the final has been played on a pitch designed and built by SIS.
SIS re-built the stadium pitch installing a new under soil heating system, removing the reinforced fibre system and adding new root zone and turf. The project has ensured that Real Madrid have played on superb surface all season. SIS is currently at the Real Madrid training centre when new pitches are been renovated for the 1st team and for the reserves.
SIS CEO George Mullan is delighted that SIS has once again provided the surface for the Champions League Final ‘This is our 5th Champions League Final to be played on an SIS pitch and it is great news for our company. The pitch has come through its first season and has received constant praise in Spain. Paul Burgess; the Head Groundsman at the Bernabeu has done a fantastic job on the pitch during the season and will have it perfect condition for the final on May 22nd.
