SIS working all over the world
This summer SIS staff will work as far apart as the Ukraine in Eastern Europe to Angola in South West Africa, with new stadium projects at Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, F C Porto, F C Copenhagen, Hampden Park and Amsterdam. The new stadium pitch at Shakhtar Donetsk will be completed in June and has been a major project for SIS in Eastern Europe. SIS will install 5 new natural grass pitches in Europe including the complete reconstruction of the Bernabeu stadium pitch, home of Real Madrid.
SIS will begin building 15 natural grass pitches for the African Championships with a staff of 16 being located in four centres, Lubango, Benguela, Cabinda and the capital Luanda. SIS has shipped tractors, trailers, box grade lasers, maintenance equipment, seed and fertilizer to ensure the project is completed on time.
In the UK SIS will build new synthetic pitches in Durham, Glasgow, Wigton, Birmingham, London, and Luton, and Manchester in addition to projects completed for Glasgow Council and Carlisle City Council.
SIS Manufacturing continues to expand with orders well ahead of 2008, new markets in Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe are delivering additional sales. The company has recruited new staff to cater for the increased demand which is good news for the Cumbrian economy.
