Natural and Synthetic Pitch Maintenance

SIS supplies to all its markets specialist support for club groundsmen covering all aspects of field management and machinery. This service covers both Natural and Synthetic pitches.

Africa Cup of Nations - Angola  
SIS second contract in Angola was for the maintenance of all pitches before, during and after the tournament. SIS built fourteen pitches in total – four stadium pitches and ten training pitches. All pitches were maintained to the highest of standards. SIS passed on experience and knowledge to enable local people to be trained in the continuation of pitch maintenance following the end of the contract.  

Amsterdam ArenA - The Netherlands
Management of the Amsterdam ArenA pitch and the two A.F.C. Ajax first team-training pitches

Princes Park Stadium - Dartford
Maintenance contract for Dartford Football Club required full time positions for SIS personal to undertake on site maintenance and match day preparation

Durham AFC, Durham (8,046m2)
Football: FA Community & IATS Approved (equivalent to FIFA 1 star):
Maintenance in the form of annual inspections are undertaken to ensure the pitch conforms to the installed standard. Our SandMatic brush and infilling machine restores a level playing surface also revitalises the appearance of the pitch

Carlisle City Council (6,395m2). Hockey: FIH Approved:  
Full sized sand filled 2G synthetic pitch has been maintained using our SportChamp machine. Pitch maintenance enables benefits for short-term use with enhanced playability and decreased risk of potential injury. Long term considerations relate to the increased longevity of the pitch, usefulness, aesthetics and economic benefits

Durham University (9,000m2). Rugby: IRB Approved:
Full size synthetic rugby pitch is maintained once a week using our SIS tractor and brush, with a pitch inspection semi-annually to check seam integrity and rubber infill consistency. Our SandMatic fully automated infilling machine is used to ensure exact amounts of rubber are evenly distributed and worked into the synthetic turf by use of non-rotating/oscilla-ting brushes
