Support in Sport (SIS) expands into Turkey with SIS International Ltd

SIS Group and the Turkish sports construction company Ilmek Insaat which has its offices in Ankara have joined together to create a new company SIS International. The Managing Director of the new company Ilyas Kobal who was the owner of Ilmek Insaat and will report to George Mullan, CEO of SIS Group Limited. The new company has already contracts with major football clubs in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Georgia for 2011.


Ilyas Kobal (pictured above) commenting on his new role, ’I am delighted to join SIS Group which has a strong reputation in the football world, my own company has recently completed the construction of new stadium pitches at Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. However with the expertise of SIS we can now expand in Eastern Europe'.

George Mullan CEO of SIS Group explained the logic of the acquisition, ‘SIS has completed projects in Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan in the last two years and to expand our business we needed to have local knowledge and offices in the region. We are confident that Ilyas and his team will expand the sales of our natural grass and synthetic turf projects'.
