SIS signs contract to install a new pitch for Real Sociedad
SIS will install a new natural turf pitch in San Sebastian for newly promoted Real Sociedad. The club which is located in the North of Spain required a company who could remove the existing pitch and install a new pitch within 30 hours.
Real Sociedad have two major events with U2 playing on the 27th and on October 2nd Real Madrid coming to town, the club were faced with a dilemma, how to facilitate both events in the same week. SIS will take over from the concert promoters on the morning of the 29th and will hand the pitch over to the club on following evening, September 30th.
‘This project is very tight in particular with a national strike in Spain on September 29th. The turf will come from Holland and we are working closely with the club and the authorities to ensure the turf is allowed into the stadium at midnight on the morning of the 30th’, commented SIS CEO George Mullan.
