SIS installs fourth training pitch for Real Madrid
SIS completed the reconstruction of a fourth training pitch for Real Madrid at their training centre in Madrid in August. SIS were required to remove the existing pitch, increase the height of the pitch by 11cm and install 7,500m2 of natural turf. A total of 1,300m2 of SIS synthetic turf was installed around the side of the pitches, and new goals!
The timeline given to SIS was 7 days for the whole operation as Real Madrid would be away for this time and the work had to be completed within this window. The project team was brought in from Holland and Portugal and turf supplied from France. Paul Burgess the Head Groundsman for the club was on side during the project and was very pleased with the results: 'SIS have delivered an excellent surface in a very short period of time and we at the club are delighted'.
George Mullan who headed up the project team in Madrid was very pleased with the result: 'Our team did an excellent job, the hours were long and the temperatures were high but once again SIS has delivered a project on time'.
