3 Pitches, IN 3 Countries, IN 7 days - SIS Delivers in Portugal, Spain and Holland
Three natural turf pitches were installed by SIS in Portugal- Stade de Luz- home of Benfica, Madrid Training Centre- home of Real Madrid and finally at Amsterdam Arena- home of Ajax.
A hectic schedule saw SIS crews cross Europe to complete in 7 days the installation of 3 new natural grass pitches. A total of 62 truckswere used in the transportation of the fields and fortunately there was no volcanic ash, so crews were able to fly to all stadiums as required.
In all 28,000m2 of turf was transported from farms in France & Holland and delivered on time for the installations.
In Madrid the project was led by Phil Blackwell & Simon Mroczek, in Lisbon by George Mullan and in Amsterdam by Ton Roosendaal. SIS is very grateful to Madrid, Benfica and Amsterdam who worked with their schedules to ensure the pitch installations were completed on time.
