COCAN 2010, Angola (Natural Turf)
Lubango is one of 4 cities in Angola where the African Cup of Nations competition will be staged. SIS has constructed 3 training pitches in newly refurbished local stadia and 1 pitch in the newly constructed Lubango main stadium. All 4 pitch constructions included full drainage and irrigation systems and were completed in mid October with ongoing maintenance up to and through the tournament taking place in January 2010. Football Academy Pitches, UK
(Natural & Synthetic Turf)
SIS has just completed The Valley Sports Football Academy in Stevenage, UK for AVC Sports. The official opening in October saw local youth teams playing at the academy for the first time on the first class synthetic football pitch. SIS constructed 1 full-size, FA community use synthetic pitch together with 3 full size new natural turf pitches during July, August and September 2009. Powerleague Regents Park East, England (Synthetic Turf)
SIS completed a new 5-a-side soccer centre for Powerleague in North West Central London, October 2009.
The centre has 6 no. 5-a-side pitches and 1 no. 7-a-side pitch with installation of fencing, floodlights and additional synthetic pathway carpet. Pictured left: 5-a-side soccer pitch for Powerleague in London, UK
Playfootball, Gillingham UK (SyntheticTurf)
Design and build of new complex on school site consisting of 8 no. 5-a-side football pitches including 1 no. removable, divide pitch & 1 no. 7-a-side pitch. Project includes new fencing and lighting system with SIS Superior 50mm being the preferred playing surface. New security fence system and acoustic barrier supplied and installed for this site. Works began September 2009 with completion due for December. Project on target. Pictured right: SIS installation team member at work on the project.
