Newcastle Falcons UK - Artificial Rugby Pitch

SIS were approached by Glasgow City Council to install a new, artificial football pitch at the Stepford Road Sports Park in Glasgow.

After detailed discussions to ensure agreement on the most important criteria, SIS were were given the go-ahead to provide a football pitch using the new SIS 'Solo 55' turf product - a sand / rubber infill synthetic turf surface ideal for football. The project took 6 weeks to complete.

In addition to the pitch installation, SIS also installed a new pitch entrance 'detox' area with foot grid and boot brushes plus new portable goals for both full size and 7-a-side football matches.

Noteworthy points of the installation carried out by SIS:

• Pitch size: 106 metres x 65 metres
• Artificial turf installed: 6,890 square metres
• Full inspection of the floodlighting system plus testing and maintenance
• Program of minor repairs and checks to the pitch fencing
